Through Civil Money Penalty funding, TMF Health Quality Institute conducts projects on behalf of state health departments focused on improving care for nursing home residents in areas like oral health and infection prevention.
Through a project for the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services, TMF provided education to nurses and certified nurse aides to increase awareness of the early signs and symptoms of sepsis and the urgency in seeking treatment.
During this two-year effort, TMF provided education to 550-plus Texas nursing homes.
