On behalf of the Texas Department of State Health Services, TMF conducted free, non-regulatory and proactive infection control assessment visits to help nursing and assisted living facilities reduce health care-associated infections. TMF staff members who conducted assessment visits were Certified in Infection Control (CIC). During these assessment visits, TMF provided facilities with recommendations and evidence-based resources to strengthen their infection prevention programs.
