Dr. Maya Bledsoe Named President of TMF Health Quality Institute Board of Trustees
New Officers and Board Members Elected at Annual Membership Meeting

Austin, TX – August 4, 2009 – TMF Health Quality Institute, a leading nonprofit health care consulting company, held its annual membership meeting on Saturday, July 25 and elected Maya Bledsoe, MD, as president of the board of trustees. Roxanne M. Tyroch, MD and Tina Misenheimer were also elected as new members to the board.
Dr. Bledsoe has served on the TMF board of trustees since 2004. An endocrinologist from Austin, Texas, Dr. Bledsoe was educated at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. She has been with the Austin Regional Clinic since 1992.
“Dr. Bledsoe has always been a strong, active board member,” said Tom Manley, CEO of TMF Health Quality Institute. “We are looking forward to her leadership and know she will build on the positive growth and guidance provided by our recent president, Dr. C. Bruce Malone.”
David Garza, DO, who has served on the board since 2006, was elected as vice president, Robert Emmick, MD, board member since 2005, will serve as officer-at-large and Robert Vallilee, board member since 2007, was selected as secretary/treasurer.
Roxanne M. Tyroch, MD, a hospitalist from El Paso was elected as a new physician member. Tina Misenheimer, executive director of Kinsman Home Health, Hospice, Companion Services and Foundation, was elected as a new non-physician member. In addition, Tim Von Dohlen was re-elected to a non-physician position and will serve as representative to the Executive Committee.
